Flipify Review: Per-Watchlist Pricing, Worked Out

What Flipify is

Flipify is a marketplace alert app for resellers. You create a watchlist for the item you want, it checks the marketplaces for new listings that match, and it sends a notification to your phone. Based on Flipify’s public pages, checked 21 September 2026:

• Marketplaces: Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Kijiji, OfferUp, Vinted, eBay, Mercari and Gumtree.
• Apps: iOS, Android and the web, with one account across all three.
• Delivery: push notifications to your phone. The page describes no email, SMS or Discord delivery.
• Filters: search terms, price range, location and radius, negative keywords, and what it calls AI-assisted filtering to reduce noisy matches.
• Extras: deal ratings based on eBay sold-price comparisons, an estimated profit spread on each match, optional Facebook auto-messaging that keeps your session on your own device, and API access for developers.
• Trial: 7 days with one Basic and one Premium watchlist. A payment method is required to start it.

Flipify’s homepage says it has more than 2,000 active users and does not say which country the company is based in. It is a tidy, phone-first product, and on the features that matter most — fast checks and a negative-keyword filter — it is a genuine competitor rather than a toy.

Flipify pricing: one watchlist at a time

Flipify does not sell plans. It sells watchlists, and each one is billed as its own monthly line. There are two kinds.

You can mix the two and change the mix whenever you like. Flipify’s page mentions no annual price and no discount for running many watchlists, so ten watchlists cost ten times one.

This is a genuinely attractive model at the low end. One fast search for $10 a month is the cheapest one-minute check we are aware of among the tools we have compared on this blog. It also makes the pricing honest in a way bundled plans are not: you never pay for searches you leave empty.

The catch is the other end. Almost nobody who takes buying seriously runs one search. A search for “iPhone” soon becomes one for each model worth flipping, a search for a couch becomes one per style, and a buyer who works two cities needs a watchlist for each. The price moves in step with every one of those.

What 1, 5 and 10 searches actually cost

Per-watchlist pricing is easiest to judge with the arithmetic done. The table below uses Flipify’s published prices and Outpost’s plan rules, both checked on 21 September 2026, all in US dollars per month.

Read honestly, the table says three things.

• For a single search, Flipify is cheaper. $10 buys a one-minute check that costs $79 on Outpost. If you only ever hunt one item, that is Flipify’s strongest ground.
• At five searches it depends on what you value. Outpost Standard at $39 checks all five far more often than Flipify’s cheap mix, but its fastest search runs every 3 minutes rather than every minute. Flipify gets you five one-minute searches for $50.
• At ten searches Outpost pulls ahead. Pro at $79 gives you one search checked every minute and nine checked every 3 minutes. Flipify’s nearest equivalents are $55 with nine searches waiting 10 minutes between checks, or $100 for all ten at one minute.

Outpost’s intervals apply per watchlist: on Standard one watchlist can run at 3 minutes and the others at 5 minutes or slower, and on Pro one can run every minute and the others at 3 minutes or slower. The figures above are the fastest each plan allows.

Who Flipify suits

Flipify is a sound choice for a particular kind of buyer, and it is fair to say who that is.

• One-item hunters. If you want a specific bike, lens or console and nothing else, a single $10 Premium watchlist is hard to beat on price.
• Buyers on several marketplaces. Craigslist, OfferUp, Kijiji and Mercari carry real volume in the United States and Canada, and Vinted matters for clothing. If you genuinely buy on those every week, one app covering all of them saves juggling.
• Phone-first flippers who want a price estimate. The eBay sold-price comparison and profit spread suit people who flip general goods and want a quick second opinion on each match.

For many Australian buyers the picture is simpler. Private-seller listings mostly appear on Facebook Marketplace, so the extra marketplaces are coverage you pay nothing extra for but rarely open. What decides the bill is how many Facebook searches you need running at once, and that is where per-watchlist pricing starts to cost more than a plan.

Questions to ask before you subscribe

None of these is a flaw in Flipify. They are the questions any per-watchlist tool leaves you to answer.

• How many searches will you really run in month three? Count the watchlists you would keep running, not the one you start with. Multiply by $5 or $10.
• Which searches need one-minute checks? A 10-minute gap is fine for slow categories and too slow for underpriced phones or cars. If most of your searches are competitive, you are paying Premium on most of them.
• Where do you want the alert? A phone notification suits a solo buyer. If you share buying with a partner or run a small team, a shared Discord channel or a web feed may suit you better.
• Will a deal rating change what you buy? If you already know your category’s prices, an estimate mostly confirms what you knew.
• Is the search well filtered? Whichever tool you use, a good exclude-word list matters more than the tool’s filter claims. Test it on your own search during the trial.

The problem any alert tool has to solve

Flipify and Outpost agree on the core point, which is why both sell one-minute checks: the listing you want is gone within the hour.

A good listing behaves predictably. Someone posts something priced to sell this week rather than for the most it could fetch. The first message arrives within minutes, a few more follow, and it is often marked pending before most buyers have scrolled past it. The deal goes to whoever messaged first, not to whoever wanted it most.

You cannot beat that by refreshing the app. Sorting by newest listings helps while you are looking, but checking ten times a day still leaves gaps far longer than a good listing lasts, and nobody keeps it up for a month. Facebook’s own saved searches do not publish how often they run and behave differently from account to account.

So the question for any alert tool is not how many features it has. It is how often it checks the searches you care about, and what that costs across all of them. That is why per-watchlist pricing deserves the arithmetic above rather than a glance at the $5 headline.

Where Outpost Alerts fits

Outpost Alerts is an Australian-built service that watches Facebook Marketplace for new listings matching your keywords and sends them to a web dashboard or Discord. It sells plans rather than individual watchlists, and publishes exactly how often each one checks.

Outpost prices are in US dollars, from its pricing page on 21 September 2026. Flipify figures are from Flipify’s public pages on the same day.

The case for Outpost rests on three things. First, cost at a realistic number of searches: once you run several watchlists, a plan beats a meter, and at ten searches Pro gives you a one-minute check plus nine 3-minute checks for less than ten Premium watchlists. Second, measured relevance filtering: a keyword match is not the same as the item you wanted, and across 30,777 keyword-matching listings Outpost discarded 38.6% as not the item searched for — 18,890 kept against 11,887 rejected. Third, delivery that suits a desk or a team: matches land in one web feed you can sort and track, or straight into a Discord channel a buying partner also reads.

What Outpost does not do deserves saying just as plainly. It watches Facebook Marketplace only — no Craigslist, Gumtree, eBay or Vinted. It has no free plan, no deal ratings, no resale estimates and no auto-messaging. On Basic it checks every 30 minutes, which is slower than Flipify’s $5 watchlist, and a single one-minute search costs far more on Outpost than on Flipify. If one fast search is all you need, Flipify is the cheaper way to get it. If you search several cities or several items on Facebook, Outpost covers them for a flat price.

The verdict

Flipify is a well-built, honest product. Its per-watchlist pricing is transparent, its one-minute Premium check is real, and for a buyer hunting one or two items it is the cheapest fast alert available. Its multi-marketplace coverage is a genuine advantage for North American resellers who use those sites weekly.

For the larger group who source on Facebook Marketplace and run several searches at once, Outpost Alerts is the better choice overall. It costs less than ten Premium watchlists, checks nine searches more than three times as often as Flipify’s cheaper option, filters out listings that only share a word with your search, and delivers to a dashboard or Discord rather than only a phone. Run each trial on the searches you care about and compare how early the alerts arrive.
