Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 June 2026

This policy explains how Outpost Alerts handles personal information when you use the website, dashboard, mobile app, alerts, billing, and support channels.

Who We Are

Outpost Alerts provides marketplace watchlists, alerts, and resale workflow tools. In this policy, "Outpost Alerts", "we", "us", and "our" mean the people operating the Outpost Alerts service.

Outpost Alerts is independent and is not affiliated with Facebook, Meta, Facebook Marketplace, Discord, Stripe, Google, or Apple.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to create accounts, run dashboards, send alerts, process billing, and support users.

  • Account details, including name, username, email address, sign-in method, dashboard number, subscription tier, account status, timezone, and quiet-hours settings.
  • Authentication details, including password hashes for username/password accounts, Google or Apple account identifiers where used, session cookies, and mobile bearer tokens.
  • Watchlist and workflow data, including keywords, cities, price bands, include and exclude terms, cadence settings, alert decisions, ignored listings, tracked listings, bought items, inventory, sold items, paid prices, sold prices, notes, and saved listing images.
  • Notification settings, including Discord webhook URLs, alert sound preferences, and test webhook activity.
  • Billing data, including Stripe customer and checkout identifiers, subscription status, plan, interval, trial status, renewal dates, and App Store purchase identifiers where applicable. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Support messages, including your selected topic, message, page URL, contact details, and any technical context included with the request.
  • Technical and service logs, including IP address, browser or device details, request metadata, dashboard run status, GraphQL/bootstrap diagnostics, proxy usage totals, network diagnostics, error logs, and security events.

How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you when you sign up, configure watchlists, save listings, send support requests, upload or choose alert sounds, configure Discord webhooks, or change settings. We also collect information automatically when the service runs dashboards, records logs, receives billing events, or maintains sessions.

If you connect third-party services, those services may send us information needed to complete the connection, such as Google sign-in profile details, Apple identity details, Stripe billing events, Discord webhook delivery responses, or App Store purchase details.

Why We Use Information

  • To create and manage user accounts and dashboards.
  • To run watchlists, find marketplace listings, send alerts, and keep dashboard views up to date.
  • To process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and billing support.
  • To send Discord webhooks, play alert sounds, respect quiet hours, and remember user preferences.
  • To provide support, investigate issues, debug rate limits or network failures, and improve reliability.
  • To protect the service, prevent misuse, enforce limits, and comply with legal obligations.

Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and similar session tokens to keep users logged in, protect authenticated routes, maintain support-view sessions, and secure account access. You can clear cookies in your browser, but doing so may sign you out or stop parts of the service from working.

Payment Information

Web subscriptions and checkout are handled through Stripe. Mobile purchases may be handled through Apple. These providers process payment details under their own privacy terms. We receive billing identifiers and subscription status so we can activate the correct plan, apply trial rules, and keep billing records accurate.

Discord Webhooks and Alerts

If you add a Discord webhook URL, we use it to send listing alerts and test messages. Alert messages may include listing title, price, location, listed or found time, listing URL, and related alert details. Anyone with access to the destination Discord channel may see those alerts.

When We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only where needed to operate the service, where you ask us to, or where required by law.

  • Service providers such as hosting, storage, email, payment, authentication, mobile purchase, and support tooling providers.
  • Discord, when you configure a Discord webhook and ask us to send alerts there.
  • Google or Apple, when you choose to sign in or connect an account through those providers.
  • Law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, users, or the service.

Overseas Processing

Some providers we use may process or store information outside your country, including in Australia, the United States, or other places where their infrastructure operates. We take reasonable steps to work with reputable providers and limit disclosures to what is needed for the service.

Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including hashed passwords, authenticated sessions, restricted admin access, and separation of user dashboard data. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

We keep information while your account is active and as long as reasonably needed for billing, support, security, legal compliance, backups, and service operation. Some logs are kept for shorter periods; billing and account records may be kept longer where needed.

Access, Correction, and Deletion

You can update account and dashboard settings in the app. You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Users can use the dashboard deletion option to delete their dashboard and associated user data. Some records may be retained where required for billing, security, dispute handling, backups, or legal reasons.

Children

Outpost Alerts is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
